 Sun Salutations:

Instruction:

  • Begin in Mountain Pose at the top of your mat, with your feet together and your hands placed together at your heart center.
  • Inhale, lift your arms high, gently arch your back, and look up for Upward Salute.
  •  Exhale and fold forward into a Forward Fold, your hands resting on the floor beside your feet.
  •  Inhale, step back into a lunge with your right foot, staring upward for Crescent Lunge.
  •  Exhale, return to Plank Pose with your left foot, and drop your knees, chest, and chin to the floor.
  •  On the other side, inhale and step your right foot forward into Crescent Lunge.
  •  Exhale and step your left foot forward to do the Forward Fold.
  •  Inhale, then rise to an Upward Salute. 

Warrior III: 

Warrior III is a difficult balancing position that promotes concentration, strength, and stability. It promotes mental clarity and attention while also helping to improve posture, tone the legs, and engage the core muscles.

Instructions:

  • Begin in Mountain Pose, feet hip-width apart, arms by your sides.
  • Deeply inhale and shift your weight to your right foot.
  • Exhale and stretch your left leg back while lowering your chest parallel to the ground.
  • Maintain a straight line from head to heel by extending your arms forward, palms facing each other.
  • Find your balance and attention by engaging your core and pressing hard with your standing foot.

 Setu Bandhasana (Bridge Pose):

 Bridge Pose is a  gentle back-bend that opens the chest, lengthens the spine, and strengthens the gluts and hamstrings. This pose also promotes the release of tension and promotes mental peace.

Instructions: 

  • Lie on your back with your knees bent, feet wide apart and heels close to your sit bones. 
  • Place your hand next to your body, palms down. Inhale deeply and then exhale, pushing your legs and lifting your hips higher. 
  • Roll your shoulders back and run your figures under your body for stability, pressing your hands into the ground. 
  • Support the natural curvature of the neck and thighs.

Child's Pose (Balasana): 

Child's Pose is a  Calming, restful pose that induces a sense of devotion and introspection.It gently stretches your back, hips and shoulders, providing a nourishing space to connect with your breath and find inner peace.

 Instruction: 

  • Start on your hands and knees with your wrists under your shoulders and  your knees under your hips.
  • Sit on your heels,extend your arms in front of you,and lower your chest toward the floor.
  • Place your forehead on the floor and extend your arms.
  • Take a deep breath and let the soothing embrace of this pose release your tension and stress.
